Having a blast here. I really like Japan a lot. No offense to all the other wonderful countries, but I kind of like how there is nothing "scary" here. Riding the trains around the city is so easy as to be almost devoid of stress. All the parks are so pleasant and just make you want to stop and sit and relax in the shade for an afternoon ( Read more... )

Believe it or not this is not a vacational trip report- I really do live on Guam right now. It's not as bad as it sounds, the lack of birds notwithstanding. XD

Today we had a day out looking for shorebirds on the island and got a few lifers!

Went for a long drive today. There were two sandpipers in Agana bay but we were not able to identify them and when we came back later they were gone. We drove around to the east side of the island and found a Little Egret near Inarajan and a Western Reef Heron a little further on. Lots of Drongos on the main road near the Naval base as usual. I never really mentioned that we made a trip to Arizona this past weekend. Did not see the Fan-tailed warbler that was in Madera Canyon, but we got plenty of great birds nonetheless!
